Robert is a graduate of Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Prior to founding Encore Investment Advisors, Robert was a Portfolio Manager for Butterfield Asset Management in Hamilton, Bermuda. While at Butterfield, Robert was responsible for managing over $500M of private client relationships. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, Robert was an integral part of the research team that conducted due diligence on investment securities across asset classes, while also serving as a Director of Butterfield's Private Equity fund vehicles.
Prior to Butterfield, Robert was a Client Advisor with SCS Financial, a multi-family office in Boston. While at SCS, Robert helped manage the client relationships for families with assets exceeding $25M as well as the firm's largest client, a $3B relationship. Robert was responsible for the day-to-day management of portfolios and the preparation of client meeting materials. Robert began his career at NEPC, an institutional investment consulting firm, as a Portfolio Analyst on their Public Pension team.
